MY BLOG

The following reviews, which you’re about to read (at least I hope you’ll do it!) are NOT meant to be technical or scientific ones.

I’m not a lab guy (many others are) and I’m not a pixels counters (many others are, unfortunately!) so my reviews are ONLY my direct experiences. I’m not paid or sponsored by any brand, that’s why my reviews are my personal opinions and everything I say should be seen under the light of the photography I perform. When I say  “this gear is good” then it means it is good for that kind of photography  I perform. For someone else it can be not good at all.

One more thing I would like to underline. In my site you will read only positive reviews because I’m not going to review anything I don’t like and moreover I don’t like to write negative things.

In this page you’ll find also some of my articles. The stories you are going to read in my articles are things and situations which i have experienced myself and i thought they are interesting. I hope you’ll enjoy those stories and their photos as much as i enjoyed being there and seeing them.

The Land of thousands smiles

The Land of thousands smiles

People used to say that we have to lose something, to really appreciate it. That is deeply true! I have lived for 4 years in Cambodia and I got used to what Cambodia means in terms of daily life. When you got used to something, you don’t really feel that thing you got...

Phnom Penh, the melting pot

Phnom Penh, the melting pot

I have been a “small town boy” for all my life so I have never desired to live in a big city. Anyway, I like visiting big cities because they are a “never ending mine” of amazing opportunities for street photography. This is a fact. But if we talk about Asian big...

Nesat, a small happy village

Nesat, a small happy village

Even if I lived for almost 3 years in Cambodia, before moving to Nesat, anyway this place seemed to me like a small happy oasis. Living in Nesat makes me feel as if I’m in a documentary film about “how Cambodia was”!Nesat is a small village at 20 km away from the town...

Zeiss ZM Distagon T* 35mm f1.4

Many, many people consider the 35mm focal length the perfect one to do almost everything. Specially street photography. For me is NOT like that! I don’t know why but I haven’t ever felt myself ok with 35mm lenses. I have been trying several different 35mm but I have...

Kevin English School

Kevin English School

Probably because I’m getting old, probably because of too many bad things happening all over the world, anyway I see I’m often on the verge of losing the hope about human beings. Every time my consideration on people falls down to the lowest level, then life shows me...

Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f1.1 VM

The Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f1.1 is one of those lenses which you hate or love. There is not a medium way with it! If I’m writing a review about it than it means I’m one of those who love this lens. Period! The word “Nokton” in Voigtlander’s lenses means that we are...
